A journal of my adventures in learning and growing personally and professionally
Just in case the subject wasn't clear enough, I hate Mondays. Basically Monday == No-Fun-Day. The only reprieve I have on this evil day is that by arrangement, I get to work from home. Anyway, the day starts at about 6am when I get up about an hour after the alarm clock has been blaring at me. After taking care of nature and other related necessities I check in on my email, blogs, and other stuff that may have occurred while I wasn't keeping a watchful eye on it. Then work begins. Mostly this involves following up on anything that was pending from last week, dialing in to a few meetings, and shuffling papers around until my mind is numb and I can't take it any more. Then it's time to catch up on email and blogs again. Ok, so back to work. Talk talk talk, meeting meeting, and shuffle shuffle. About the time that work is done, it's now time to go to school for four hours. First check mail to make sure there's no last minute school related issues with homework or team projects, then head to class. Four hours later class is done and I'm at the end of a 14 hour day. Time to catch up on blogs, email, and blog a bit myself. Then it's bed time. If it wasn't for working from home I wouldn't get to see my son at all on Mondays. So, props to my boss for being flexible, but Monday's still suck.
