Thinking about the upcoming FFL season that some of the other bloggers are participating in, I recalled someone mention how the draft was mangled a bit by Ricky Williams sudden retirement. When I cam across this story on ESPN.com I had to wonder, what kind of message does this send to the young (and not so young) people out there who looked to him as a role model? I'd like to think that people still look at the successful and noteable people in society as icons of achievement, but when you see something like this, you've got to wonder just how over rated it all is.
