Sloe Times

So the con has not even started yet and I spent the better part of 5 hours in line yesterday waiting for event regestration and badge registration. Lesson here, is to pre-register. Regardless of my planned attendance or not I will be registering every year since last minute decisions will kill you (and your feet) at something like this. Speaking of which, I made the last minute decision to enter the qualifier for the world championship of Settlers of Catan and then realized it conflicts with the first hour of the poker tournament. Hmm, I will have to find someone and make sure I can just post and fold the first hour until I can get away from the Settlers game.

Other than that, it is great seeing my friends, even though sleeping may prove to be challenging over the next four days as a camp of lumberjacks has taken up residence with us :( What are friends for :)

I am hoping to do a little photo taking while I'm here so I expect to be able to post some stuff while I am attending. Todays events are True Heroes, Settlers of Catan World Championship qualifier, and GenCon WSOP qualifier. Beyond that I hope we can get a game of Settlers in later tonight or maybe some Tenjo.
